What do you need?
At the end of your course, you can download a Professional Development Certificate of Completion (note: this is not an official or accredited TEFL qualification). This certificate confirms that you have completed all course materials for professional development, self-improvement, and ongoing learning. It can also be used as a refresher or to help determine if teaching English is the right path for you.
For those seeking an official and accredited TEFL qualification, you can choose to order either (i) a digital certificate or (ii) both a digital and hard copy certificate below. Your certificate will be internationally accredited by the International TEFL Accreditation Council (ITEFLAC), featuring the ITEFLAC logo, a signature, and a unique reference number for verification.

Digital Copy
You can request an official accredited digital certificate. This certificate includes a signature, features the ITEFLAC logo, and contains a unique reference number for verification.

Hard Copy + Digital Copy
You can request an official accredited hard copy of your 120-hour certificate, which will include original signatures, a verification number, the accreditation logo, and an embossed seal. This will be sent to you via registered mail. Additionally, you will receive a digital copy of your certificate via email.

Now that you have ordered your official accredited digital or hard copy certificate, consider enhancing your job market competitiveness by requesting two separate Specialist Certificates (*available in digital format only) for the specialized modules included in your course: Teaching English to Young Learners and Teaching English Online. These certificates are accredited by ITEFLAC. Including an additional two Specialist Certificates with your job application will demonstrate your expertise in various specialized TEFL areas, thereby boosting your application’s visibility and relevance. *Please note that this order does not include a certificate for the 120-hour course.

Legalization
In some cases, an employer (e.g. China, Vietnam, UAE...) may request that you have your TEFL certificate authenticated or apostilled. This is not usually a requirement if you´ll be teaching online. Your OTA TEFL certificate can be legalized (authenticated or apostilled).

The Process
- Step 1: Request an online quote and additional information from Vital Consular regarding the apostille or authentication of your TEFL certificate. You will pay Vital Consular directly for this service.
- Step 2: Order a hard copy of your certificate from us, as only a hard copy with original signatures will be accepted. When you place your order for the certificate hard copy, use the address of Vital Consular as your shipping address. We will then send your certificate via registered mail directly to Vital Consular to be authenticated or apostilled.
- Step 3: Vital Consular will then send your certificate to a Notary Public to be notarized.
- Step 4: Thereafter, the notarized certificate goes to the Foreign and Commonwealth Development Office (FCDO) to have an apostille stamp attached.
- Step 5: If you need your certificate to be authenticated, then your certificate will be sent to the relevant embassy to be legalized.
- Step 6: Vital Consular will send your certificate to you.
